This blog space has been around for quite a few years but I recently deleted every post! Don’t worry, I saved the best of them to a Word file in case I realize that’s a mistake, lol! It was always the companion blog to my quilting blog, Quilt Cabana Patterns. I never knew what I wanted to share in this space until the past year or so. Now that I’m a little more into my 50’s, I think I’ve got it. My life is different now than it was when I was creating posts about kids, morning routines, and inspirational essays to help get me through the daily. Now it’s about restoration of mind and soul, figuring out what’s next when the kids are grown, living healthfully while seeing and doing more of the fun stuff. It’s figuring out that the time to write that book, take that trip, or acknowledge your heart’s calling has arrived. It’s time to discover new things about yourself! I love writing and I always have. I’ve had several articles published but I had not settled down into writing that novel until now. It’s slow going but I’m committed to doing it. I also have lots of other passions like quilting, fabric collage, crochet, photography, baking, traveling, and learning French. I’ll be blogging about all of those things right here under the different menu tabs. I’m looking forward to sharing this space with you and hearing about the stage of life that you are in now. I love seeing how we are all connected as women through our experiences and as we turn our own long postponed dreams into reality. Let’s go!

Under the In The Kitchen tab I have posted a few recipes you might love as much as I do. The Lifestyle tab will encompass just about everything from books to hobbies to family life and traditions. The Favorites tab will have links to items that I have tested out and loved in my own life. The Writer’s Nook will be where you’ll find me sharing about my writing endeavors including overcoming fear, doubt, and the dreaded writer’s block.

So grab a good beverage and visit with me! Please leave a comment about what you would like to get out of this blog. I’ll be adding to it each week so there will always be something new. My quilting blog is still up and running but this space will be more for those of us in midlife who are wanting to see more, do more, and be more in this second act of life!
